How To Create A New Web on YourWeb

• Typically you ask me to create a new web site for you. There are a few tricks to making the web that I will try to document here.
   
• Why a New Web Site?

   

  • To group a new project, typically a bigger project that is more than one page.
     
  • So Themes, shared borders and other custom changes you make don't break everyone else's web design. (Limit the damage)
     
  • Permissions: To limit who can edit your web.

• Click File,
  • New.

• A new frame will open on the right side of the window.

• Now you have some choices!
  • You can make a new page
  • You can make a new Web site
  • You can use a template.

• Templates are cool!
   
  • You can create and entire "fill in the Blank" web site by using a template.  See picture below for some of the different webs you can have.

• Now you specify where you want the new web. The last web I made was for the UltraFlex. The full path is:
• http://yourweb.com/product_engineering/
• Don't check the boxes.
• Click OK and FP will now create your web.
• You can now open the new Sub Web.
