A Personal Statement of Vision and Mission

My Vision in 18 Months, I, Mark Antonucci, see myself as a more Guiding leader, so that I can lead or coach my group to accomplish or learn the Rank of Tenderfoot.

Goal/Ticket item # 2      Strengthens Me X Strengthens My Group X:

Goal:

Guide the majority of the new Troop 41 Scouts in achieving the "Scout" and Tenderfoot" ranks.

Who:

New Scouts arriving into Troop 41 Abington.

What:

Provide opportunities for new scouts to advance to the rank of Tenderfoot

Where

Weekly Scout Meeting

When

Work will start Immediatly and be completed within 18 months.

How

Plan a weekend camping trip to satisfy requirements for Tenderfoot Rank. I will track and post progress of new scouts towards that rank.

Why

Strengthen my leadership skills in preparation for leading boys onto higher ranks in a timely manner.

How Verified

Provide proof that Tenderfoot reached. Post results on my website. Post agenda for weekend training/ campout

Results:

I was actively involved with starting and maintaining the new Troop41 website. I made a section dedicated to the new scouts and named it the "Tenderfoot Tracker".

Here is a sample of the tracker spreadsheet. Click the picture to enlarge it.

The file was posted on the web in HTML format.

The Tracker was announced and work really good as a tool for me to keep track of who needed what requirement. Unfortunately I was told to not post the progress of the new scouts on the web and had to remove my tracker due to parents concerns.

(I need to do one last update to the tracker to show how many scouts got to tenderfoot.)

Camping trip:

Lead (was one of three leaders) the Scouts on a camping trip to camp Kiwanee September 2007

Worked with the Scouts on Requirements with the Scouts. Did not end up posting agenda but did work with the other leaders on the weekends agenda.
