Leader Training!
February11
Note from Bev:
I just wanted to be sure everyone knew that there is training coming up next
month,. It will be held at the Faith Baptist church in Stoughton. I don't think
it is on the website yet but should be soon.
It will offer New Leader Essentials and Cub Specific. This is a great
opportunity for any new leaders to get training.
Don't forget, anyone that has been to New Leader already and are just changing
positions only needs to go the Cub Specific portion for the new position. It is
also a great way to get a head start on next year. I went to my Webelos Training
while a Bear Leader so I could "hit the ground running" and be prepared for the
Webelos program.
Roundtable is also a great way to get supplemental training. There is something
offered for every rank.

Boys love to build things. This month have the dens work
with tools and wood. Learn about different kinds of wood
and where it comes from. Make gifts for your family or
bird or bat houses for the community. Work with your
family to make repairs around your home. Visit the local
hardware store or home- improvement store and see all
the different tools. Get permission to visit a local
construction site. Since the best gifts are often
homemade, make handcrafted awards to present at the pack
meeting.
Dens are to CONSTRUCT center pieces for
the Blue and Gold Banquet using Popsicle sticks and

MARCH 2005- Invention Convention
March 18th |
| |
 |
Every Cub Scout can be a
genius or an inventor!
Each Cub
Scout is to gather odds and ends that can be recycled and invent
something with these materials.
Cub Scouts will learn about recycling.
What do we recycle, and what becomes of it? How can
we help as individuals and as citizens in the community?
|
 |
 |
Scouts are to
bring their invention to the March Pack meeting where they will be
presented and prizes will be awarded to all category winners.
Learn about
inventors and geniuses of the past, present, and future!
Let your
imagination and your own genius lead the way.
