Important Dates:

  • May 5 Mark and Steve to complete Base and start other assemblies.
  • May 8 (Saturday) General work day at Steve's house
  • May 15 and 16 sanding, painting,
  • May 23, 23 Final assembly
  • May 28 Starts the Shakedown Weekend.
Project Purpose Troop 530, is composed of about 40 Boy Scouts from local Troops in the Massachusetts South Shore area.
They will be attending the 2010 Boy Scout National Jamboree.
Each Troop needs to have a Gateway for their campsite. Troop 530 chose to have a lighthouse similar to the one that is shown above and worn on the Scouts uniform.

The latest drawings are not posted yet but we do have them compiled into a design notebook to be used during construction.

This was the beginning of learning how to model the individual parts. Note the base is really fat.
March 03 2010 attempt

This model was coming along pretty good. But it just doesn't look like the lighthouse in the top picture.
