St. Patrick’s Day Parade a Success
Thanks to the effort of close to 20 scouts and their families, Troop 41 had a proud showing for the parade.
We carried six division signs and a sponsor banner. For the first time, in quite some time,
we entered a float in the event. Mr. Manning’s decked out truck pulled the troop’s trailer.
Ricky drove with Bailey, while the boys tossed candy to the anxiously awaiting children.
Mr. Beckvold and Mrs. Hatch walked along side with Sadie, the Hatch’s “Irish” Beagle.

Wacky Weather in the Blue Hills
By Jim LeVine
On the recent camping trip (to Camp Sayre), despite the cold wet snow we; Ryan H., Ryan F., Tom, Cory, Charlie,
Ricky, Alex M., Alex Y., Russell, Ben, Ricky, Mr. Manning, Mr. Hatch, Mr. Rangel and myself still managed to have a great time.
We played water polo in the awesome Egan Center Pool. We hiked the Great Blue (Blue Hills) and we were able to have the
basic tour of the weather station. Only to end the day with Shish-kabob and/or London broil both made over on open fire.
Candy Bar Sale
The scouts spent Saturday and Sunday, March 24th and 25th selling Hilliard’s candy bars at the Holbrook Sportsmen’s Club.
They sold more than 500 bars. Great Job! In an effort to sell the remaining cases, we’ll schedule a day at another location.
Merit Badge University
Charlie and Jim LeVine, along with William Tulip, Alex Yablonski, Tom Covert and John Bushman recently attended the
Squanto District Merit Badge University. They each attended three classes, most of them for Eagle required merit badges.

Holbrook Sportsmen’s Club Weekend
April 28-29, 2007
Once again, Mr. Cesarini has made arrangements for us to camp overnight on the property and utilize the resources.
The weekend allows us to be close to home for the new scouts, but have the feeling that we’re not so close.
Mr. Cesarini will be co-coordinating activities for the afternoon to possibly to include archery and rifle sessions.
Each activity will be supervised by qualified instructors. Permission slips are due no later than April 3rd.
