Joe Doiron's Eagle Court of Honor

Sunday, March 4, 2007

Parents should be receiving a phone call from Janet Dane regarding main dishes and desserts for the meal.  We also need volunteers to assist serving and helping out in the kitchen.  Scouts will be practicing during the meetings before the date and on the date, prior to the ceremony.  Please make yourself available for this important event.

St. Patrick’s Parade

Sunday, March 11, 2007, Abington Center.

We need 12 Scouts to hold Division Signs for Mr. Bailey.  That’s the least we can do for all that Mr. Bailey has done for us (Car Wash and Day Lily Sale).  We are also planning to tow the Troop 41 trailer with Mr. Manning’s Truck.  So, we would like to decorate the truck and have boys toss candy from it during the parade.  Mr. Beckvold will have a signup sheet.

Camp Sayre Weekend

March 16-17, 2007

The troop has reserved a cabin for the weekend.  The camp has an indoor pool available, so the Scouts can work on water-related rank requirements.  We are planning to do some geocaching as we hike through the Blue Hills in Milton.

Candy Bar Sale

Saturday and Sunday, March 24th and 25th, Holbrook Sportsmen's Club

This fundraiser will be used to build up the Scout accounts for Summer Camp and other activities.  Please see Mr. Beckvold to sign up for a time slot.

Washington DC Trip April 2008

Planning has already begun.  We need your help to ensure the trip's success.  Lisa White as offered to organize the trip.  Additional volunteers are needed to run fundraisers in order to defray expenses for the Scouts.  See Lisa White, Henry Beckvold or Cheryl Hatch if you can help out.
