strictly for adults. Anyone interested
should inquire with the Legion to

9/11
Vigil
On Saturday September 10th there will be a
memorial gathering at the Jeff Coombs Flag
Pole on Gliniewicz Way @ The Band Stand.
The gathering will be from 7pm-8pm.
The Abington Fire and Police departments
have organized this gathering to commemorate
the 10th anniversary of the terrorist
attacks of 9/11/01. There will be a brief
service, and a piece of the WTC tower will
be donated to the town.
Abington resident and former Pack 11
Treasurer Jeff Coombs was a passenger on
Flight 11. While the community remembers
Jeff in many ways, his service to Scouting
is often overlooked.
I am asking that all Scouts who are able to
attend this memorial in their Class A
uniforms. This is an important community
event, and an opportunity to honor the
memory of a former leader.
Yours in Scouting,
Chris Schultz
Cubmaster, Pack 11
PS As members of Troop 41, I am asking
everyone that is available to attend along
with their families. Scouts are asked to
wear their full Class A Uniform, which
includes: Class A Shirt, neckerchief, Troop
41 hat and a nice pair of pants. If you
have a merit badge sash, OA sash and/or
Class A Pants/shorts, you are encouraged to
wear them. Please be there by 6:45 PM, so
that we can organize ourselves. Additional
info may be forthcoming.
Thank You,
Henry Beckvold, Scoutmaster
